The questions

Focus doesn't live alone. It's built on last night's sleep and today's stress — and GoMotion's engine treats a focus problem as a symptom until it's found the cause.

Measured

A focus score you didn't just make up.

Screen: the focus test — tap the direction of the middle arrow

Everyone feels unfocused. The health check measures it: a short attention test on screen — react to the right thing, ignore the wrong thing — scores your reaction time, accuracy and consistency against people your age. That result is blended with your own answers into your focus score, so the number is more than a mood.

The check also asks what's behind it, because the fix depends on the cause — and the engine already knows that a bad night is the most common one.

The tools

Four ways to reset, all on the home screen.

Guided meditation, eyes closed

Everything here is free and stays free. Set a daily mind goal — from five minutes up — and the ring fills as you go. Meditation days build a streak.

Focus timer

Work and break, 25/5 by default but any length. Logs the session and ticks your habit or challenge.

Breathing

Box breathing (4-4-4-4), 4-7-8, coherent 5-5 and the cyclic sigh, animated on screen so you just follow.

Meditation library

Guided audio sorted by what you need — sleep, stress, focus, morning, energy — technique, voice and length, from under six minutes to over twenty. Save favourites.

Daily mind goal

Pick five to forty-five minutes a day. See the ring, keep the streak.

The plan

Habits that protect your attention.

Screen: pick the focus habit that matches your problem

Like every plan in GoMotion: twelve weeks, one habit at a time, a second at week four, a third at week seven. Each starts at a dose you can do and steps up as you keep doing it.

  • Focus block. A protected block of deep work — ten, twenty-five or fifty minutes — with the timer.
  • Screen-free morning. The first five, fifteen or thirty minutes of the day without a screen.
  • Guided meditation. Five, ten or fifteen minutes with a session picked for you.

Frequently asked questions

Are these meditations?

Yes — a library of guided meditations sorted by area and length, plus guided breathing and a focus timer.

How long are the sessions?

Meditations from under six minutes to over twenty. Breathing sessions are short. The focus timer is 25/5 by default but takes any length.

How is focus measured?

Two ways: your own answers, and a short attention test in the health check that measures reaction time, accuracy and consistency against your age group.

What breathing techniques are there?

Box breathing 4-4-4-4, 4-7-8, coherent 5-5 and the cyclic sigh.

What about stress?

Stress has its own screening, its own habits and its own page. Focus and stress feed each other, but they're measured separately.

Do I need headphones?

Meditations are guided audio, so headphones help. Breathing and the focus timer work silently on screen.

What does it cost?

The app is free to download, and you get everything free for seven days — no card, nothing to cancel. After that you decide whether to keep it. The focus timer, breathing and meditations stay free either way.
