Longevity

Fitness age and longevity tests you can do at home.

More years that actually work — a body that still carries the shopping and keeps up on the stairs decades from now. Take the tests, get your score and your fitness age, and follow a program built around your weakest areas.

One number, and the fitness age that comes with it.

Your score

Longevity doesn't live alone. It's the sum of how you move, recover and rest — and the same tests you do in the health check feed straight into your score.

Why it matters

More years that actually work.

Older man on the beach with a surfboard — more healthy years

Not a longer life on paper. A body that still carries the shopping, still gets off the floor unaided, still keeps up on the stairs — decades from now. All of that is trainable, and all of it can be measured today.

The tests

Eight tests. A park and a bar.

Dead hang — one of the eight longevity tests

Each one stands in for something that predicts how well you'll function in twenty years. Do them one at a time, or run the guided session that orders them for you — balance first while you're fresh, cardio last.

Cooper 12-minute run

How far you get in twelve minutes. Your aerobic capacity, and the basis for your fitness age.

6-minute walk

The walking alternative to the Cooper test.

Push-ups to failure

Upper-body strength endurance.

Dead hang

How long you can hang from a bar. Grip.

30-second sit-to-stand

Reps from a chair. Leg power.

Sitting-rising test

Down to the floor and up again with as little support as possible.

Single-leg balance

Eyes open, one leg, up to thirty seconds.

Resting heart rate

Manually, or with the phone camera on your fingertip.

Upgrade your longevity.

Your score

One number. Measured against the target.

Screen: your longevity score, fitness age and goal

Every test is scored against what research says is worth aiming for, not against the average person — the average isn't the goal. Together they become one score, plus a fitness age from your Cooper result. Two tests already give you a real number.

  • Fitness age. Your Cooper result against people your age and sex. Lower than your birthday is the point.
  • Biggest gain. The area where training would move your score most.
  • Trend. Every test keeps its history. Re-test after twelve weeks and watch the line move.

Your program

Then it trains what's weakest.

Screen: a longevity week — strength and runs, session by session

The tests decide the program. Weak areas get more sessions, strong ones get maintained. Before you save it you see the projection: your score now, and where twelve weeks of this program can take it.

Frequently asked questions

Which tests are included?

12-minute Cooper run, 6-minute walk, push-ups to failure, dead hang, 30-second sit-to-stand, sitting-rising test, single-leg balance and resting heart rate. On iPhone, walking speed is picked up automatically.

Do I need equipment?

A bar to hang from for the dead hang. Everything else works at home or outdoors.

Do I have to do all eight?

No. You're scored on what you've measured. Two tests give you a real score; more tests give a fuller one.

How often should I test?

The app suggests a re-test after twelve weeks — long enough for training to show.

What is fitness age?

An estimate from your Cooper test result compared with people of your age and sex. No Cooper test, no fitness age.

What is the score compared to?

Research targets for each test — the levels associated with better long-term health — not the average person.

What does it cost?

The app is free to download, and you get everything free for seven days — no card, nothing to cancel. After that you decide whether to keep it. The tests, your score and the trend stay free either way.
